How To Write

In Old Vermont there stand some fences,
Built by the Colonists for their defenses.
Made from stones pulled from the ground,
No cement holds them, yet they are bound.

If you would fain a writer be,
Ponder those structures so carefully.
Choose your words as the Artisan did his stone,
And your work may last when you are gone.

Why Write?

Because you must.
