Stand Up and Be Countered

I have this great idea for a new standup comedy routine that focuses on the humor in death and dying. This show would be targeted for an audience in various long-term care and hospice facilities. I plan to break in the act in front of a focus group of terminally ill, wheelchair-bound and barely ambulatory nonagenarians. Most of the material has been written, and I am polishing it.
It is too early in the process to have a firm handle on the outcome. In an early take, one gent strapped to his chair seemed to be enjoying the material immensely until it was discovered that his hearing aid had been left off by a careless attendant, who had also neglected to administer his dementia meds.
I can envision the reviews in Variety. They might start something like this:
William DOA at Happy Hospice
William Stumbles Breaking in Act at Care Facility
Collateral Damage at Care Home as William Bombs
William's Whimsical Words:
Tough crowd.
