Vietnam #1
Just over half a century ago, Vietnam was known as French Indochina. Now, Vietnam is neither under the French, nor is it under the Chinese. It never was American.

Everyone knew that someone had blundered. When Tennyson's Six Hundred rode into their Valley of Death, they were, mercifully, cut to pieces in a matter of minutes. It took a decade for the ones who went to Vietnam to lose their Fifty-eight Thousand. Some of those who made the charge are still bleeding.
