Popeye, The Sailor Man

A clever fellow that I met once, handed me a card at the end of a brief conversation. On it was the face of that most improbable of cartoon superheros, who was invented in an unsuccessful effort to get kids to eat spinach. [You know, kind of ugly face, corncob pipe that is never lit, pencil biceps but huge forearms with an anchor tattoo on them; that guy.] The lettering on the card said, "I yam what I yam!" He had it right.
