New Years Dream

About half century ago, a war weary world got together and created the United Nations. US participation in the UN was overwhelmingly approved by the U.S. Senate on this date. While the UN continues to function, it is clearly not enough. The war drums beat in this country because a number of the ruling elite who profit from wars hire bands with a rhythm section that plays their tune. It is time for this to end.

Lately, William has been having a recurrent dream. He sees Times Square on New Year's Eve 2012 - 2013 with all the assembled revelers happy and excited about the prospects of the new year. As the ball hits the end of its travel and 'Happy New Year' is shouted by the crowd, it is followed by a mic check. The occupation of Times Square is replicated across the nation and around the world, wherever people of goodwill gather to pool their hopes and share their dreams. This must happen soon!

Time is running out
