Two American filmakers presented their wares at the Cannes Film Festival. One of the works was a documentary about the Al Jazeera Television Network. The Americans in the audience thought that it was much too sympathetic a treatment of the Arab broadcasting medium; the rest of the world thought that the treatment was much too critical. The second film was about President Bush's invasion of Iraq. The Americans in the audience thought that it was much too critical of Bush; the rest of the world thought that the treatment was much too sympathetic.
